I’ve been a drummer all of my life. I had maybe a handful of drum lessons growing up, but that really didn’t work best for me. I was one of those smarty-pants kids who had already self-developed a concept very early on in age and wanted to pursue it. So, I got hold of some decent headphones and taught myself. It took a lot of trial and error and a lot of drumsticks, but I learned.

Eventually, I went from playing in local bands to earning a modest income as a studio drummer and stage performer. All in a day’s work, from waiting at the bus stop, to driving into a parking spot that will either be validated or reimbursed, to riding in a tour bus, to flying out for a few days to play a gig in another state. I’ve worked with entertainment houses such as Atlantic Records, Alphabet City Sports Records, MTV and had the privilege of recording in the smallest studios and what I would consider to be luxurious. I’ve even jammed with some notable artists over the years as well. Who woulda thunk it?

Along the path of finding and crafting my musical identity, I taught myself guitar so that I could continue expanding my creativity. I started with a cheap guitar and learned a few chords. So yeah, I also write music. Why limit oneself to one color from the palette?

In short: I’ve traveled, did my homework and earned my experiences. Not to mention, I did it all as I juggled a full-time day job and explored various career paths outside the music business. It wasn’t easy by any means, but I delivered. And like any natural creative looking out upon the landscape, the penchant to arrive unapologetically still retains its enigmatic fervency with a diy attitude without representation or competitive narratives.

I have no need to feign my way.
